Final Video Blog

This would be a video blog, but seeing as how my partner hasnt showed up for a while i decided to do it this way. Our game was basically finished upon presenting it. We got possitive comments when we presented our game, they liked the storyline and the interactive keyboard. They didn't like our quiz portion of the game, but it was implemented as a way to assure the player was ready for the end of the game. To begin with we planned on having a drag and drop to place notes on a staff. But due to time we did not get it finished and had to remove it from the game. Overall the game turned out quite decent due to the time and content restraints.

Biggest Challenge

Our biggest challenge thus far has been the keyboard. It's very difficult because we have had to make each key a button individually, and make it look like actual keys. We added the note letter to each key to make it easier for teaching purposes. Now we are working on getting sound put to each key.

Progress

This week we worked on the start page. We learned how to make our start game and our about buttons. Currently we are working on getting our team name to move around, like an introduction before everything else appears. The name of our game: N.O.T.E, stands for Nimbly Owning The Ear. We played around with flash and set it up that when you get to the start screen all you see is N.O.T.E. at the top but if you mouse over each letter it shows the rest of the word, for example: if you mouse over "N" you would then see "Nimbly" down the screen.
